Awkward and Awesome Thursday

If you look real hard you can see little white blobs near the horizon line in the trees, perching herons! And one flying for good measure of course.

Awkward:
  • Getting pink eye from a patient at work. I didn't know she had pink eye though, would have been nice of her to fill me in seeing as how we were sharing protective eyewear for her laser treatments. Until she buys me another pair of contacts and some new mascara, no more treatments.
  • Trying to drive down the road with pink eye. Immediately after I announced to Sarah on Facebook that I had no light sensitivity, bam!, all the sensitivities!!! I made it to work with my eyes only open half the time. True Utah driver over here.
  • Working out in glasses. I don't know how people do it. Maybe it's because I am an overachiever when it comes to sweating but it is darn inconvieniant. Can't wipe my face, my glasses get wet or worse, they fog up. I was planning on the pool this week but I don't know if I have the courage to swim blind.

Awesome:
  • Debi and Barry are here!!!!! Woot Woot!
  • Going to the park for dinner and seeing all the ducks, swans, 6 herons, a crane and a peacock! Best park in town!
  • A home teacher that brings you cupcakes.
  • Homemade Zupa Tuscana soup. So much better than Olive Garden.
  • Reps that know their way to your heart (and business), baked goods and m&m's.
  • Homemade granola. Why is granola so expensive at the stores?
  • Makings Awesome lists that consist almost only of food.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:
  • I got home from getting my hair done when I felt something drip down my forehead. That's right, my scalp was oozing and dripping down my face. The bleach did not agree with my skin this time. Super duper excited about my scabby, itchy scalp. Not gross at all.
  • Your doctor finally talking to you about how you cannot get pregnant on the drugs you've been taking for about a year now. So many mutations!!! So while there were no plans to have the babies, there really aren't now. No flipper babies for us thank you.
  • Long stories short: Last week I found a puddle of pee on a chair in an exam room and then a few days later found desitin all over the exam chair from a very old man butt. Way too much potty talk for a podiatrist office if you ask me.

Awesome:
  • My German Chocolate Birthday Cake. I pretty much polished the whole thing off by myself. Chad helped a little but it took less than a week to devour that guy.
  • Speaking of polishing things off, we blew through the whole series of Friends way too fast. We may be going back and watching even more now because we are that cool.
  • Taking a small hike over the long weekend. It almost killed me but it was so beautiful and fun to be outside again. Thank you baby mutating drugs for allowing me to walk a couple miles.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:
  • I seriously don't remember how to study, or should I say I remember how I used to study? Poorly and at the last minute so I have an extreme amount of anxiety. This alone is one of the reasons I don't want to go back to school.
  • Thinking it would be fun to work in a nursing home one morning at one and then seriously having to restrain myself from taking a woman out in the next one. Patience is not my virtue. God bless you nurses everywhere!
  • Chad getting asked, "want your receipt love?" when we were out one day. Yeah, I'm right here. And no it wasn't in a cute honey, sweetie, I call everyone this kinds way.
  • An older man was chatting with me while he waited in line at the nursing home to get his feet checked. He thought I was Norwegian, guess I'm pulling off my hair, he was from Italy and told me all about it. When he was on his way out he extended his arm to, what I thought was, shake my hand. Instead he pulled me in for a big ol' hug. Again, Chad may have younger girls but I've got the old men wrapped around my finger.
Awesome:
  • Chad's homemade hot cocoa and apple cider.
  • The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon always drove Chad insane and we never watched it. But we jumped into the season when the girls show up and we are in love. The girls make it for us. And now since we are hooked we've gone back to the very beginning. Has anyone else seen the unaired pilot with a different Penny, it was spectacularly horrible.
  • My Hubby's photography. I know most of you already know he's a photographer but for those of you who don't, he's amazing. I love being able to work with him and watch him work his magic. He's so great at capturing special moments and awesome with families! Any picture on here that looks great came from him ;) If you live in Southern Utah check him out! We travel up to Northern Utah quite a bit too for all you "up north" peeps! He's building up a clientele and his portfolio so he's got some pretty awesome deals going on right now. Check him out!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Rukia finishing off Chad's ice cream
Awkward:

  • Getting ice cream at our new favorite barn and having the girl who is helping us WINK at Chad when he picks his flavor. Unless your gonna give us some ice cream for free please keep your winking to yourself.
  • Swimming at my gym with the high school swim team. I have swam twice, for real, in the past, oh, 10 years. Nothing makes you feel as great about yourself as swimming next to a bunch of toned, talented high schoolers doing the butterfly stroke while you choke on water in the lane next to them.
  • Eating an entire tray of rice krispies with Chad in less than 24 hours. Good thing I swam.
  • Falling off the "step" thingy during my Chisl class. Clearly I don't have that kind of coordination. And no, it was not a graceful fall.
Awesome:

  • Made it through a Chisl class at my gym. I was happy I could stand up for an entire hour! And it really wasn't as bad as it sounds, of course when you expect everything to be a mixture of Insanity and P90X, nothing is that bad.
  • The hot tub at my gym. Or should I say hot tubs, there are a few scattered about and I just discovered another one this week. So nice after a swim.
  • Getting an offer to be on TV!!! Ok, it's a cable access program, and it is put on my healthy posture teacher. But let's focus on the fact that my healthy posture instructor thinks I have improved SO much that she wants me on TV talking about my experience with her! BOOM! And no, I won't be on it only because it's in the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday and I've got to be able to pay rent. Also, me on video is frightening.
Hope your almost Friday is as warm and cozy as Penny's!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Puppy Snuggles!!!

Awkward:
  • A lady at the nursing home didn't want to go all the way back to her room and take off her white fish net stockings to get her toenails clipped so she wanted the Dr. to cut off the toe. I was laughing so hard when we couldn't find scissors so he ripped them off her. Ok, he ripped a whole in the toe but the other version is just so funny.
  • Not realizing that the speedo logo on my goggles peeled off and weren't supposed to be there. So I swam, and talked to people in them looking a fool.
  • How sore I am after swimming. I made it about 25 minutes, with breaks between every length and a few side stroked laps and now my legs are killing me. Phew, who knew how out of shape you could get when you are out of commission for nearly 8 months.
  • It's 60 degrees out and I'm freezing. I have officially become a cold weather pansy and I am really disappointed in myself.
  • A patient telling me that when I was bent over and "walking weird" it was mostly just in my head. Nope, mostly the bulging discs in my back and my sciatic nerve all teaming up to attack me. But thanks for telling me I'm a crazy pansy.
Awesome:
  • Chad's killing it in the kitchen. It's a hidden blessing of me being hurt and unable to stand and cook, Chad's found a passion for cooking and I am reaping all the rewards.
  • I climbed! And Chad climbed! It was slow and painful but we both did it, and it was ah-mazing!
  • A Costco box of Honey Bunches of Oats, I am blowing through that thing.
  • I went to my very first spin class yesterday and it was so fun.
  • It's almost Friday ;)

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:
  • Taking selfies everywhere. My hair is making me vain.
  • A woman at the nursing home prayed over me last time I saw her, 2 months ago. I saw her this Tuesday and I was standing pretty well, it was morning and I had drugs in me, and she was very proud of the fact that she had indeed healed me. I made sure to thank her profusely.
  • Trying to explain how the new laser we have at work works. Highly concentrated light...ATP... energy... more efficient cells.... and magic! Laser beams of magical healing power!

Awesome:
  • Chad's photography. He just keeps getting better and better. Which is also making me vain.
  • Shine spray. Makes my hair so pretty!
  • Homemade French Fries.
  • Snuggles with Rukia. It's a good thing she's needy because I'm really wanting a new puppy.
  • Coconut oil. So good in my hair and as a makeup remover.
  • Swig, I'm so addicted to Dr. Pepper with coconut cream.
Happy early Halloween! What are you (or your babies) dressing up as?

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Clearly I am a genius of sorts then.
Awesome:
  • Waking up to a thunder storm. Almost as good as falling asleep first thing to one.
  • The giant 2 lb container of homemade mac and cheese in our fridge
  • We finally have a dining room table! Granted it's a patio table but we've been hunching over our coffee table for dinner ever since we got to Utah, so this is a nice change.
  • Sleeping on the couch. So much better than the bed. So much lonelier though. Although Chad is sleeping on the other one across the room from me so I don't have to sleep by myself.
  • New Scrubs! The new girl in our office clearly hasn't worked in the medical field before because she is less than thrilled about them, and I'm in the back dancing around singing "I feel pretty".

Awkward:

  • The weird blue mountain dew. Code Red? Amazing. It's forever associated with Kyle and Idaho for some reason. But beyond good memories it tastes delicious. Blue mountain dew? No thank you.
  • Finally getting a piano, ok keyboard, and not being able to sit up well enough to really play it right now.
  • Gaining over 10 pounds when I was on steroids the beginning of last month. Luckily it's gone now.
  • Feeling like I might die in 30% humidity. I lied, it's 37% today and it's disgusting. Granted it is around 105, so there's that.
I've thought everyday this week, starting with Tuesday, was Thursday. So I am thrilled it's actually Thursday and tomorrow is Friday and next week we have Pioneer Day on top of the Dr. being in Nevada for 2 days. Pioneer Day still seems like a silly holiday but if it means I get a day off work I'll take it. Thankyouverymuch.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

A couple days ago we got a knock at our door. Strange for us since we hadn't ordered anything off amazon and have no real friends here. lol. So Chad answers the door to find a Hungry Howie's delivery guy there trying to deliver us food. We explained that we hadn't ordered anything and he read u back the address, which was ours. He said someone had called in the order for us and paid the tip and all that jazz. There was however, a butt load of food. This clearly wasn't for us so we sent him away and told him to double check the address.

A few minutes later we get another knock on the door. Heeee's back! He said he checked the address and that this was for us! We still knew he was wrong. There were wings, regular breadsticks, cinnamon sticks, a deep dish pizza, and a regular pizza. Little much for 2 people. But we had sent away free food once and that's pretty much our limit, so we were confused but definitely took it. The dinner question was solved and free!

So we were eating our fantastic free dinner and had convinced ourselves that maybe someone had in fact got it for us. I just got a new visiting teacher and the bishop had just seen me hobbling around trying to get some relief in the pool, also our home teachers have been a little more active lately. I clearly look like a crippled person, so we thought maybe someone took pity on us.

Wrrrooooooong.

We got another knock on the door a few slices of pizza later. Our neighbors who live in 1201 (we live in 201) were at our door, and we knew why. We actually get along really great with them so it wasn't super awkward, just a bit. She had hurt her knee and her sister had ordered dinner for her family. She laughed at us with all that ridiculous amount of food and then called and finally got her dinner. Win Win for everyone I guess.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:
  • Doing my hair before work in the downstairs bathroom and discovering all three of our hairbrushes were upstairs. Rather than walk all the way back upstairs I decided that the dogs brush would do just fine. And guess what, it totes did.
  • Living off of Costco muffins for the past 2 months. Standing hurts, therefore cooking isn't happening. Also, Culver's has helped in this department. Also because of Culvers, muffins and donuts (hello emotional eater) I need to get better asap so I can start running off my emotional baggage.
  • The amount of Dexter we've been watching. The seasons just get better and better.

Awesome:
  • Celebrating Mother's Day even though we have absolutely no plans of making me a mother of anyone anytime soon. New dress, new shirt and Buffalo Wild Wings/Culvers for dinner. Happy Mother's Day to me.
  • My new keyboard to accompany Chad. Our duets are the bomb.com
  • Almond Joy oatmeal. Plain oatmeal made with coconut milk and then has chocolate chips and coconut stirred in afterwards. Dessert? Breakfast? Who cares. It's delicious.
  • We've got another new girl at work. After one day it already seems so  much more promising.
  • Val and Bill's fam bam is on their way to our house *right now*. So excited!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:
  • Finally giving in and doing the dishes at 11:30 Sunday night, only because it was starting to smell. Even better when it only actually took 10 minutes to do them.
  • Wearing this rubbery back supporter thing around, it makes my back feel better but it's SO hot.  Pretty sure I spend my afternoons smelling like sweaty rubber.
  • Going to Panera yesterday to get a chocolate chip cookie. Little did we know that ours had switched to normal cookie dough that I could go buy at any grocery store. Yeah, these really aren't your cookies, so no thank you, I'll take my money back.
  • Knowing that the new girl was going to get fired. Awkward. Knowing she was going to get fired for 2 months before it actually happened? Super awkward.
Awesome:
  • Dexter. Thank you Netflix. The Trinity Killer hooked us.
  • Physical Therapists.
  • Realizing that we are better at the blind taste test than the Hell's Kitchen contestants.
  • Naked brand juices from Costco. The price, the taste, it's awesome.
  • Whatever sleep medication we got from Costco last night. Haven't slept that well in quite a while, and it was bliss.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:
  • Waking up at 2 am in a lake of very cold ice water in my bed. I fell asleep while icing my back/hip and clearly the Ziploc baggies couldn't handle it. SO cold and SO wet. Then my hip hurt, not from pain but from how ice cold it was (and for how long it had been that cold). As you know, we've since made better ice bags. Brrrr
  • A large group of people hiking up to the wall where we were climbing didn't expect to be attacked by a giant fluffy black bear. They didn't see us and didn't think anyone was there... until Rukia went barreling towards them and scared the crap out of them. They were good sports about it and ended up playing with her so it was all pretty funny in the end.
  • The crabbiest lady IN THE WORLD (yup, I'm feeling dramatic today, but seriously, crabby pants) yelled at me at the nursing home yesterday, telling me to pull my shirt down because she could see almost an inch of my back (no, my butt was NOT hanging out!). I just laughed as she told me I was offending her and the guy sitting next to her. He responds "I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out. But now that you mention it... nope, it doesn't bother me".
Awesome:
  • The Sno Cone shacks are open! Let summer officially begin!
  • Getting a gross looking pizza from Dominos and then having them give us a second one for free. Nothing wrong with one pizza per person.
  • Moving the TV in to our bedroom. We've discovered we really could mange just fine in a loft.
  • We have consistently been in the 80's this month.
  • Tax Returns! Procrastinating our taxes means we've successfully "saved" enough money for our crazy months of May/June.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:

  • Realizing your blue bra is on display through your white shirt at 3:30 in the afternoon at work. Luckily the Dr. was out of the office so it was just me and my office manager. Didn't realize it this morning because it's not see through when your hunched over and your flowy shirt is just hanging off you.
  • Rukia and Penny have both decided they are throw up machines. Inside, outside, on our bed, on towels, in the kitchen, on the patio. There's nothing better than waking up in the morning to your dog puking on your bed.
  • Waking up and checking my phone to find that it's.... 9:00 am. On a Wednesday. Good thing the Dr. was in Nevada. It's easy to sneak into work late when your the only one at the office that day. phew.
Awesome:

  • The Walking Dead season finale. I know I'm late on this one but I'm super excited for Bad Ass Rick to be back.
  • Easter Box from the parents. Loaded with candy! And a cute maxi skirt for me! Made our week!
  • Chad makes me stretch every day. I'm always very angry with him afterwards. That shiz hurts you guys. He's going to need a prize when this is all over.
  • Really though, Chad's been ridiculously awesome. I'm getting better, but standing is hard. Which means for over a month Chad has tackled the laundry, dishes, dinner and all the cleaning solo style. I told you he needs a prize.
  • Since I'm obviously not moving much we've started marathon watching The Office. I forgot how funny that show was.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:
  • The number of donuts we've been eating lately. And the fact that the best bakery in town is Kroger.
  • One of our patients getting convicted of prescription fraud. Patients pretending to be the doctor leads to some pretty awkward pharmacy phone calls as of late.
  • Trying to belay Chad when I can't quite stand up. Granted I do succeed, but I look ridiculous.
  • The number of looks I get everyday from hobbling around. Strangers have actually started offering me advil. Oh wow, I hadn't thought about taking that. J/K I've taken 12 and it's noon.
Awesome:
  • A patient exclaiming, "Hey! Are you making fun of me" as I was walking him back to a patient room. He was also hunched over and walking funny (due to physical disability), we both laughed as my office manager made a horrified face thinking that he was serious. This just happens to be our prescription fraud dude.
  • The owner of Kneaders knows Chad so well now that he just gave him his French toast for free last week.
  • Café Rio also knows us very well. In addition to knowing exactly what we order, one of the managers gave us our burrito for free last time we were in. It was a good free food week.
  • Our car is in the picture of our Climbing Store's website. We just happened there when they took a picture of the store front. We are strangely very proud and overly excited about this.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:
  • A man calling and asking me for the number to an orthotics company. I told him I didn't have the number and he didn't respond. Dead Silence. Sigh. "Do you want me to google it for you?" I ask.  Of course he did. Unfortunately this isn't the first time people have called me just to google something for them.
  • Getting pinched on the butt at a Nursing Home.... by one of the crankiest old ladies I've ever met. Not surprised it finally happened, surprised it was her that got me first though. Yikes.
  • The Dr. encountered another patient in Nevada yesterday who had poop on their socks. Took of their shoes and so far so good. Then he reached down for the heel of the sock to pull it off and BAM! Poop. I just don't understand.
  • Since last July I've been having back/hip/sciatic nerve issues. After multiple Dr.'s, a chiropractor, doing what I've done before in physical therapy and countless internet searches I think Chad and I have stumbled on to my real problem and how to fix it. Thanks Yo Elliot. You Tube > Doctors. I kid. Kinda....
Awesome:
  • We found Paczki's at Kroger on Tuesday. I immediately abandoned my "cleanse" I was doing this week and ate one as pre dinner. We may have bought 2 boxes of them. 4 each sounds reasonable right?
  • Thanks to the stretches I found I was standing upright at the end of the day yesterday. Seriously a freakin' miracle.
  • Our goal this week: Eat all the gluten in the house. Next week will be remarkably different lol. But for now all the gluten is ours!
  • New Bras. In the correct size. Chad has always and will always know better than I do about what size I am. In everything.
  • The past 2 days have been in the high 70's. Sorry Michiganders, that one was for you :) If it makes you feel better it rained today and was only 61.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Debi and her new hubby Barry got here Sunday night! We are super excited to spend a couple weeks with them, showing off our favorite outdoor spots and eating an ridiculous amount of dessert. They've only been here 3 full days and we've already made brownie sundaes, giant chocolate chip cookies, bought krispy kremes, and restocked the snickers stash. Side Note: We may have a candy drawer that has turned into a snicker's/Chocolate Chip drawer. Livin' large at the Lewis House. I've got plans to test out a new sugar cookie recipe and am pretty sure I can trick everyone into going to my favorite Chinese Buffet on the way back from Zion's. Clearly my most important plans involve eating massive amounts food.

Awkward:
  • An old man doing a ring check on me at the Nursing Home. Why yes sir, I am married. Good thing I remembered to put it on after rock climbing, who knows how that could have played out.
  • Getting back from a nursing home and finding a weird brown stain the size of my fist on my thigh. Hmmmm.... Poop or Chocolate?
  • Speaking of poop, finding poop on our bed Tuesday night after staying up until 2am with Debi and Barry. Poop on the bed is never good, at 2am, it's down right horrific.
  • Trying to tell older patients my name. Danielle is absolutely exotic to most people over a certain age. And after yelling it 10 times in a row, directly into someone's ear, it starts to sound strange to me too. I'm thinking I should just tell anyone over 80 or hard of hearing that my name is Kate.
  • Shoving all of our clean clothes (we hadn't done laundry for weeks) into a random closet when Debi and Barry got here. Folding? Ain't nobody got time for that!
  • Mountain Biking in broad daylight and tipping over into a bush, that's right, tipped over. Granted I was wearing a giant backpack so I do have a bit of an excuse.
Awesome:
  • Trying to replicate Panera's Chocolate Chip Cookies. I haven't found the right recipe yet but we are sure enjoying the process!
  • Getting to the top of my harder climb without having to rest on the rope once! A clean climb is the best feeling!
  • Mountain Biking in the dark and not totally wiping out.
  • Attempting crazy yoga moves and realizing I have the strength to attempt them. Attempt being the key word. I may not be at all flexible, not at all, but I am getting stronger!
  • Garlic Bread.
  • Our back Patio! Barry cleaned it up and rigged up our tarp for our bikes!

Happy Early Valentines Day! Hopefully it's full of love from friends and family, and lots (and lots) of chocolate!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

I thought the lights were out on my oven. Sadly I was wrong. Some mornings there are as many as three cockroaches in there.
Awkward:
  • Attempting to stay awake at work while taking 2 Benadryl every 4 hours. Hardest thing I've ever done. I managed to do it only because I ate constantly until I could go home and pass out.
  • The patient who refers to me as sweetie and hun called in to talk to my office manager to complain about me. Apparently I never put his shoes back on one time, "not that I should be fired or anything". Really? Thanks for basically saying I should be fired because you don't feel like putting your shoes back on yourself.
  • Kneeling down to take off a lady's shoes (noticing what most of my job consists of?... sigh) at the nursing home only to be assaulted by the smell of urine. Seriously, punched in the face by it. Then I reached down and grabbed her sock....her soaking wet sock.
  • A nursing home patient left us with this little nugget as he exited, "They've got a saying in Russia, Adios Amigo!". He's also the one whose favorite phrase is "true story".
Awesome:
  • TGI{almost}Friday
  • Costco rotisserie Chickens
  • Dominos Pizza
  • Restocked Candy Drawers
  • Chad's Ab Ripper results ;)
  • Sparkly Nail Polish
  • Benadryl and the ridiculous amount of sleep I've gotten since Monday.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

The doctor I saw at Planned Parenthood was slightly horrified at my leg. It was a lovely conversation starter as I sat there pantless and spread eagle.
Awkward:
  • When it rains it pours, when it comes to my bloody noses. Seriously. It gushes like a freaking waterfall and refuses to stop until the entire bathroom is covered in blood spatter like a bad horror movie. So glad that this could happen at work. And yes, a patient came in as I was spraying the bathroom with blood. And no, there was no one else but me, myself and I to go and take care of said patient.
  • There was this itty bitty woman who wanted to help the Dr. at a nursing home with one of the older gentlemen we were seeing. She put her hand under the man's leg (his leg was propped up on the Dr.'s lap) and the old pervy guy wasted no time making googly eyes at her and pulling his pant leg up as far as he could. The old lady was happy helping and moved her hands right up along with the pant leg. Luckily he could only pull it up to his knee.
  • Taking a sip of my energy drink while rock climbing on Sunday and thinking, "what is this weird gunk in my mouth, Oh crap!" Yeah.... spat that stuff out as fast as humanly possible and discovered a little worm wriggling around in all my caffeinated spitty goodness.
Awesome:
  • New Pillows. They are from Costco and they are a freaking dream come true.
  • New mattress pad made with 3 inches of memory foam gel stuff. It's like I'm sleeping in a cloud. Seriously. It's outrageously amazing, and cross your fingers, I think it's helping with my angry back/hip.
  • Christmas Trees. Yup, our is still up and we are still loving it. So is Penny.
  • I'm up to 32 pushups in one shebang. Still working on a pullup.
  • Headstands
  • Bactine. Lidocaine is our friend.

Awesome Thursday

Happy Anniversary to my very favorite person.

It's been an awesome 4 years. I love you and can't wait to see where the next year takes us!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:
  • The tip of my middle finger going numb from climbing and having it stay that way for days afterwards. It's almost back to normal....
  • Chad sending his iPhone through the wash cycle, yup, the whole cycle. He threw it in rice then attacked it with my hair dryer aaaaaaannnnd.... it turned on, and works, mostly. Thankfully we have geek sqaud and his new phone should be here soon. Phew.
  • Patients who wait in my waiting room for 20 minutes and then decide they have to go the bathroom right as I call them back. Really? You couldn't have done that in the 20 minutes you spent sitting there staring blankly ahead?
  • Driving in St George this week:

snowflakeCartoon

Awesome:
  • A pull up is currently within my reach. I've never been able to do a real one and it's becoming a real possibility. A chin up totes happened this weekend.
  • Cabin socks from Dicks. So Warm. So Amazing.
  • Our heated blanket. We cozy up in that and are out but 9pm. lol. The animals are also in love with it.
  • Today is Chad's last day of finals for the semester!
  • The Twelve Days of Christmas box that my parents sent us for December. So fun, we will be making sugar cookies and watching my Grandma win all the things on The Price is Right this weekend courtesy of them!

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

I will always regret not getting this.
 Awkward:
  • Waking up to find your dog puked all over the couch.
  •  Being taught how to tie a bow. Apparently a Kneader's bow is super duper special.
  • The amount of dishes we let pile up over Thanksgiving. We may not have made a big dinner but we also didn't do dishes for the full 5 day break.
  • The amount of bananas and yogurt that I eat... together. Both of which I decided I hated in high school. I can't remember the number of times I said that bananas would kill you. You live and you learn #turningintomyparents

Awesome:
  • The amount of strength I have gained in my arms from climbing.
  • Christmas music.
  • Clumsy Ninja. It's basically a tamagotchi for your iphone and we love it a little too much.
  • The drug dealing neighbors have officially moved out!!! (I have yet to meet/see our new neighbors and I am terrified of the possibilities.)
  • Not driving in snow ;)
