Shirt: TJMaxx, Skirt: H&M, Shoes: Target |
Sunday is the one day of the week that I get an opportunity to dress up. Not just dress in my "dressy" jeans, but actually pull out a dress and some heels and look good. Heels and I aren't exactly BFF's so they are definitely a Sunday Only item. I can get through about three hours of wearing them, especially if I'm sitting down, but that's about it.
"Danielle, your young, your newly married, you have no kids! You can dress up and go out anytime you like!"
And go to Chuck-o-rama? Applebees? Ooooh, I know, Target! Our options are pretty limited in a small town of where to go once you actually get dressed up. So for now I'll focus on turning up the volume on Sundays and really knocking the socks of those nursery kids!

Hey girlie...been following you through the Bitner's blog. Have to admire you...you look awesome in that skirt but I'm in nursery, too, and don't dare wear one above the knee right now! Too hard to get up from the floor gracefully! But of course, you have youth on me! ;-) Enjoying your blog!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found me! I definitely abandon my shoes as soon as I get in there! I've got a few long skirts/dresses for the weeks that I have to teach and know I'm going to be rolling around on the ground :)
Deletegreat outfit, it's so classy! and i love that blouse!

I really love how you balanced the classy black and white outfit with the cheetah shoes. And that shirt is to DIE for! Where'd you get it? Just dropping by from Jenny's Sunday Style.

That's totally how I feel about getting dressed up! I have two little kids, but even when my husband and I get a babysitter to go out on a date we usually just go to the movies! So Sunday is definitely my "dress up day". Thanks so much for linking up, I love this outfit and you look so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Now following along!
It's always so funny to get dressed up to go sit in a dark theater. I feel like we should always just go in our pajamas. Ha! I'm definitely following along!
DeleteCan I just say when I saw you on Pinterest I was all "I know her! I actually know her!" You are a celebrity in my mind.
ReplyDeleteLOL. I love it :)
DeleteLOL, you're making me think I should start dressing up more on Sundays. I'm always saying that I never have anything to dress up for, but I guess church is as good a place as any to look fancy :) You look absolutely beautiful by the way. Love that top!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! FYI I love your blog, I had it open on my computer all day and just went through your old posts, creeper... :)
DeleteOh I know how you feel... We live outside of a bigger city but right on the border to "country"... It's hard to get all dressed up and then go to Target or even worse, Wal Mart where everyone just stares at you ;)
ReplyDeleteI have to say though that since I started really putting more effort into my style and blogging about it of course, I have started to feel a lot more confident and don't let it bother me so much when people look. I bet most of the time they would admit that I looked good :)
